Yo-Yo's for a quilter friend

A fellow guild member is in the hospital for surgery. Deb H. and Peg M. came up with the idea of all of the other guild members bring finished yo-yo's to our regular meeting tonight. They will then be strung in to a garland for Joan's room.

2010 Christmas gathering

Food, Friendship and Fabric...all we quilters need!
The decorations were awarded to one table member each.
The line was not long as we took turns talking and eating!
So many quilters!
So much fellowship!
This Christmas tree was made by Jan Cave.
It is made with all green Yo-Yo's.
So much food!

Project Linus Sewing day

We spent a wonderful Saturday, January 22, 2011, sewing quilts for Project Linus.
Fellowship and quilting was flowing like wine!
We will continue to check out pre-sorted kits and turn them in. We will set up a "delivery day" with the local Project Linus group.

Bearcreek Farm Retreat 2010

And a great time was had by all members! This was taken Sunday morning before we all headed for home.
Bearcreek Farms really rolled out the red carpet for our group.

Carolyn and I were having a "duel" with our cameras. I think we BOTH won!

Nothing like having a Pal help with the quilt basting. I think Sara, Carolyn and Donna basted three quilts in under an hour!
I loved seeing all the different styles of sewing machines, setups, fabric choices, cushions for our poor tired backs, snacks of chocolate OF COURSE, pin cushions and of course the friendships!

Gladys worked so hard on her Quilt in a Day project. She had a brand new sewing machine and spent the weekend getting to know her machine.
This is my work station. Dark chocolate M&M's, pretzels and my precious Featherweight. My machine was an angel all weekend. I had hoped to get my checkerboard border done for the Crabapple quilt. I did not even make a dent in it. OK....maybe a small dent...
